An under 1 hour long skirt and other crafty business

My first attempt at making a long skirt for myself was a success.
I got one of my favourite handmade a-line skirts which is knee length and cut the material I chose around it, although using my imagination to make it longer - to my ankles.

I found this material for $15 it's was all up about 2 metres and was sold as a tablecloth. I grabbed it right away (last one in the shop!). Ifind it hard to find unique fabric with good quality cotton at the material shops nearby.
I reckon all up it cost about $10 to make as I have a good amount of fabric left over. YIPPEE!

I made a black stretch waistband which I find most comfortable.

Isn't this a beautiful sight, stuffed blocks in a perrty country basket. Love it!

I'm getting there on these hanging name blocks...next step hand sewing up the gap on each one. I'm not really looking forward to this step I'm not the best hand sewer. Here's some practice for me.

And here's a pair of baby's pants for a friends new baby boy. These are about a size 6-12 months, so there's plenty of time for him to grow into them.

So that's me so far, hope you had a great weekend.
